BRWIA is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and their families with opportunities, resources, education, and skills related to succeeding in agriculture. BRWIA is committed to women agricultural producers and rural communities. We believe that equipping women with the entrepreneurial skills, education, and network to discuss their concerns and ideas has a significant impact on the economic, environmental, and social health of their families and the community.

While we address the needs of all small farmers, our focus targets women’s contributions and needs. Our work is not limited to the small local farmer; BRWIA also believes a strong community-based food system will help rural community members in the High Country overcome barriers to hunger and food security as well as connect local producers to educational resources, and each other to help develop local food markets.
